Effective date: July 29, 2026. Customer reviews influence what people buy, so we explain exactly how ours work. This disclosure also reflects the review-transparency obligations introduced by the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
WHO CAN REVIEW. Reviews are written by customers with an account on lumyseoul.com. Where we can match a review to a paid order for that product, we mark it as a verified purchase. We do not write reviews ourselves, we do not buy reviews, and we do not use generated or fabricated review text.
HOW WE COLLECT THEM. Reviews are submitted voluntarily on the product page. We may invite you by email to review a product you bought after it has been delivered. Where we offer loyalty points for leaving a review, the points are the same whether the review is positive or negative — we never condition a reward, discount or gift on the rating you give or on the review being favourable.
HOW RATINGS ARE CALCULATED. The star rating shown on a product is the plain arithmetic mean of all published customer ratings for that product, rounded to one decimal place, together with the number of ratings. It is not weighted, curated or adjusted. A product with no reviews shows no rating at all rather than a default or placeholder score — we would rather show nothing than a number we did not earn.
HOW REVIEWS ARE ORDERED AND DISPLAYED. By default reviews are listed newest first. We do not promote favourable reviews above unfavourable ones, and we do not hide low ratings from the average. Published reviews remain visible for as long as the product is listed, unless the reviewer deletes theirs or we remove it under the rules below.
WHEN WE REMOVE A REVIEW. We may remove or decline to publish a review that: is not about the product; contains abuse, hate speech, threats or personal information about another person; contains spam, advertising or links; is duplicated; appears to be fake, incentivised elsewhere, or written by someone with an undisclosed connection to us or to a competitor; or makes claims we cannot publish, such as stating that a cosmetic treats or cures a medical condition. We do not remove a review simply because it is critical of a product or of us. If we remove your review we will tell you why if you ask.
MEDICAL AND SAFETY CONTENT IN REVIEWS. Reviews describe one person’s individual experience and are not medical advice or evidence that you will get the same result. If a review mentions a skin reaction we may contact the reviewer to gather safety information and trace the batch.
