Shipping Policy
LUMYSEOUL · Seoul, Republic of Korea · shipping worldwide · hello@lumyseoul.com
Effective date: July 29, 2026. All orders are packed and dispatched from Seoul, South Korea.
HOW WE SHIP. We ship worldwide using Korea Post services — typically EMS (Express Mail Service) or K-Packet, depending on destination, weight and value. Every shipment is trackable.
DISPATCH TIME AND HOW WE SOURCE. Some items we hold ready to ship and dispatch within 1–3 business days. Others we buy in Seoul specifically for your order, which is stated on the product page and takes 2–4 business days before dispatch. Sourcing this way means the product reaches you with a long shelf life rather than after a year in a warehouse. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you have paid, we will tell you within two business days and refund that item in full — we will not hold your money waiting for stock.
DELIVERY TIMES. Typical transit after dispatch: East and Southeast Asia 3–10 business days; United States, Canada, Australia and Western Europe 7–14 business days; other destinations 10–21 business days. These are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Customs inspection, local postal backlogs, incorrect addresses and peak seasons can add time. Total time = our 1–3 day dispatch + carrier transit + any customs processing in your country.
SHIPPING COST. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight, and is shown before you pay. Where we offer free shipping above a stated order value, that applies to our shipping charge only — it never covers import duties or taxes.
IMPORT DUTIES AND TAXES ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. This is the most important part of this policy, so we state it plainly. The price you pay us covers the products and our shipping charge. It does not include customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, or carrier brokerage and handling fees. International shipments may be subject to import duties and customs fees which are levied once the parcel reaches your country. All such fees are the responsibility of the recipient — including on orders that qualified for free shipping. Your customs authority or carrier may require payment before they will release the parcel. The amounts are set by your government, vary by country and product, and we cannot calculate, control, absorb or refund them.
CHECK YOUR OWN COUNTRY’S RULES BEFORE YOU ORDER. Customs policies vary widely and change often. Because of that we cannot guarantee that the items you order are permitted for import into your country, or in what quantity. Not knowing your country’s rules can result in high import charges, delay, or the parcel being returned or destroyed. Please consult your local customs office before placing an order if you are unsure. Many countries have tightened low-value import rules recently — for example the United States suspended its $800 duty-free "de minimis" allowance in 2025, so parcels to the US may attract duties regardless of value, and the European Union ended its €150 duty exemption in 2026.
HOW WE DECLARE VALUE. Every parcel contains a commercial invoice and is declared at the actual amount paid, including shipping. We must comply with customs law and cannot under-declare, mis-describe, mark a purchase as a gift, or amend a declared value on request. Note that some countries also include shipping charges, the value of free gifts, and amounts paid with loyalty points when calculating what is dutiable.
PARCEL SPLITTING AND SERVICE CHANGES. Korea Post applies weight and size limits per parcel. A larger order may therefore be dispatched as more than one parcel, and we may upgrade or change the service used (for example from K-Packet to EMS) where weight, destination rules or availability require it. Where this happens each parcel is tracked separately and we will send you each tracking number.
REFUSED, UNCLAIMED OR ABANDONED PARCELS. If you refuse to pay the charges your country levies, do not respond to a customs or carrier request, or the parcel goes unclaimed, it may be returned to us, held, or destroyed by the carrier or customs. If it physically reaches us again we will refund the product value, minus our original outbound shipping cost and any return charges we are billed. If the parcel is destroyed, seized or otherwise not returned to us, we are unable to refund it, and refunds are not available where a parcel is discarded or returned because of an error or omission by the recipient — for example an incorrect address, an unanswered customs request, or refusal to pay lawful import charges.
ADDRESS ACCURACY. Enter your address exactly as your local post office expects it, including any apartment number, postcode and a reachable phone number. We ship to the address you provide. We cannot redirect a parcel once dispatched, and we are not responsible for loss caused by an incorrect or incomplete address.
LOST OR DELAYED PARCELS. If tracking has not updated for 14 days, or the estimated window has passed, contact us and we will open an inquiry with Korea Post. Carriers usually require a waiting period before a parcel is formally declared lost — often 30 days or more. Once a loss is confirmed, we will replace the order or refund it, at your choice. Tracking marked "delivered" but not received should be reported to us within 7 days so we can investigate with the carrier.
DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. Photograph the outer parcel and the damaged items and contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will replace or refund damaged items — you do not need to return them unless we ask.
DESTINATIONS AND ITEM RESTRICTIONS. Some countries are not serviceable by Korea Post, and some restrict cosmetic imports, ban particular ingredients or product types, or cap the value or quantity a private individual may import at one time. A few destinations also prohibit promotional free gifts being included in a parcel. Where a destination or an item is restricted we will contact you, and if we cannot lawfully or practically ship we will cancel and refund the affected part of your order in full. Aerosols, pressurised containers, high-alcohol products and some other categories may additionally be restricted by air-transport rules regardless of destination.
