Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 29, 2026. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of lumyseoul.com and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, our Shipping Policy, our Returns & Refunds Policy and our Cosmetic & Safety Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

WHO WE ARE. LUMYSEOUL is a small independent retailer of authentic Korean beauty products. We are based in the Republic of Korea and ship internationally. We are not a manufacturer: we resell genuine, sealed products sourced from Korean suppliers and brands. Seller: LUMYSEOUL, Republic of Korea. Contact: hello@lumyseoul.com. As a Korean business we are subject to the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea.

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS ARE MADE HONESTLY AND CANNOT BE ALTERED. We include a commercial invoice with every parcel and declare the value based on the actual amount you paid, including shipping. We are legally required to declare accurately and we will not under-declare, mark an order as a gift, split a declaration, or change the declared value on customs documents — even if you ask us to. Requests of this kind will be declined. Where your country includes shipping charges, free gift value, or amounts paid with loyalty points in the dutiable value, that is your customs authority’s rule and not something we control.

ELIGIBILITY. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. Products are sold for personal, non-commercial use only. We do not sell for resale or redistribution.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND IMPORT RESPONSIBILITY. All orders ship from Seoul, South Korea. When your parcel enters your country you are the importer. This means: (a) you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, brokerage or handling fees charged by your country or its carrier; (b) you are responsible for ensuring the products you order may lawfully be imported into your country for personal use; and (c) customs authorities may inspect, delay, hold, tax or refuse any parcel, and those decisions are outside our control. Amounts charged at the border are set by your government, not by us, and are not included in the price you pay us.

PRODUCT LABELS AND REGULATORY DIFFERENCES. Products are manufactured for the Korean market. Packaging, ingredient lists and any claims are provided by the manufacturer in accordance with Korean requirements and may differ from the labelling standards of your country. Some product categories are regulated differently between countries — for example, sunscreen is regulated as a cosmetic in Korea but as an over-the-counter drug in the United States. By ordering you acknowledge that you are importing Korean-market goods for personal use and that they may not carry your country’s domestic regulatory labelling.

PRICES, CURRENCY AND ERRORS. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude import duties and taxes. We may change prices at any time. If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full; we are not obliged to supply at the incorrect price.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND REFUSAL. Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order, in whole or in part, including where a product is out of stock, where we suspect fraud or abuse, where the destination is not serviceable, or where we cannot lawfully ship the item. If we decline, we refund the affected amount.

AUTHENTICITY. We sell genuine products only. If you have reason to believe an item you received is not authentic, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photographs and we will investigate and, where we agree, refund you in full.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to any order, product or these Terms is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the product(s) giving rise to the claim; (b) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity; and (c) we are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including customs action, carrier delay, postal suspension, natural events, strikes, or changes in law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND INDIVIDUAL CLAIMS. We ask that you contact us first at hello@lumyseoul.com so we can try to resolve any problem directly — most issues are solved this way within one business day. Where permitted by the law applicable to you, any dispute will be brought on an individual basis only, and you and we each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective or representative action. Where your local law does not permit such a waiver, this paragraph does not apply to you and your statutory rights are unaffected.

GOVERNING LAW. These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the courts of the Republic of Korea shall have jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your country of habitual residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there where that law so provides.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. The LUMYSEOUL name, site design, written content and photography we produce are our property and may not be copied or reused without written permission. Brand names, product names and manufacturer images belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the products we sell.

ACCOUNTS AND CONDUCT. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape or interfere with its operation, or submit false, abusive or fraudulent content, including fake reviews.

CHANGES. We may update these Terms. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date at the top of this page.
